Personal data processing policy

2. What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small text records that a website stores in the browser and that the browser automatically returns to the server with subsequent requests. The localStorage and sessionStorage mechanisms keep data on the visitor’s device and, unlike cookies, are not sent to the server automatically.

Where such data allows a person to be identified directly or indirectly, it is treated as personal data and processed in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27.07.2006 “On Personal Data”.

3. What the website uses

innospector_editor — cookie

Strictly necessary. Confirms that a staff member has signed in to the website’s editorial section. It is set only after a successful login at /admin and is never set for ordinary visitors to the public pages. Attributes: HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, Secure. Lifetime: 12 hours.

innospector:privacy — localStorage

Functional. Stores the privacy preference chosen in the footer (“only necessary functions”). It holds no visitor identifier and is not sent to the server. It remains until site data is cleared in the browser.

innospector:contact-draft — sessionStorage

Functional. Temporarily holds a draft of the enquiry form (name, company, telephone, email address, task description) so that the entered details are not lost if the form window is closed by accident. It is stored only in the browser. It is removed once the form has been sent successfully and when the browser tab is closed.

Server technical logs

Not cookies. With each request the server records the IP address, date and time, requested page address, response code and browser details. They are used to keep the website available and secure, including limiting login attempts to the editorial section and the number of enquiries submitted through the form. Retention: no more than 12 months.

4. What the website does not use

• web analytics systems, including Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics;
• advertising pixels and retargeting systems;
• social network widgets and buttons;
• remote font loaders and third-party SDKs;
• cross-site tracking and visitor profiling;
• transfer of browsing information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

The website has no separate cookie consent banner because no optional tracking technologies are in use.

5. Legal grounds

Strictly necessary and functional technical mechanisms are used to operate the website and the functions requested by the visitor, on the basis of clause 5 of part 1 of article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ and the information protection requirements of Federal Law No. 149-FZ of 27.07.2006. No separate consent is requested for them, because without them the website or the requested function would not work.

Should the Operator decide to add analytics, advertising or other optional technologies, they will be enabled only after obtaining the visitor’s prior consent expressed by a separate affirmative action, with the ability to refuse and to change that choice at any time. Before that, this Policy will be supplemented with information about those technologies, their purpose, retention periods and recipients.

6. Managing your settings

The “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the page lets you record on your device a preference for working without optional technologies. This preference is stored locally and is not sent to the Operator.

You can delete stored data and block further storage at any time in your browser settings:

• Firefox — Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
• Safari — Privacy → Manage Website Data;
• Yandex Browser — Sites → Advanced site settings.

Disabling strictly necessary cookies makes it impossible to sign in to the editorial section. It does not affect browsing: the public pages remain fully available without cookies.

7. Changes to the Policy

The Operator updates this Policy whenever the set of technologies in use changes. The current version is published at innospector.ru/cookies together with its date.
